Peaks to Plains District Fall Meeting

Four members of the Club, Kathy Riordan, Shelley Rask, Shirley Koski and Shannon Gunderson, attended the Peaks to Plains District Fall Meeting recently held in DesMoines IA. Of course, a great time was had by all, as we not only network about how we can further our mission and vision, but we meet with old friends and new and know how to have fun! Among the “work” highlights was the presentation by Carolyn Roberts of the Salt Lake City Soroptimist Club which was, basically, Soroptimist 101 in detail. Even longer term members learned a lot. Carolyn also presented at the virtual District meeting on October 26 with over 70 members in attendance! Her presentation included a history of Soroptimist, beginning with its formation in 1921, and how it has grown to include clubs in 118 countries with almost 66,000 members!
